BIRCH

Burns cleaner
Birch is better for inside fires
Less creosote left behind in the chimney
Less ash left over compared to spruce
Burns hotter than spruce/pine and less hotter than Tamarack
Emits black smoke till its at that nice hot point
Fire lasts longer compare to spruce, pine and tamarack.
Is good for inside doors
It smells really good when is burning

TAMARACK

Burns like a hardwood
Burns hotter than birch, spruce and pine
Very little ash
Creates hot coal for cooking
Tamarack firewood burns hot and fast than spruce, pine and birch.
Really good firewood for winter or when you are cold

SPRUCE AND PINE

Spruce and pine firewood burns hot and fast
Popping and throwing lots of embers as it burns
Is good for an outside fire
Burns nice
Nice crackle
Another benefit of spruce and pine is that it doesn’t throw off a heavy aroma, if you’re sensitive to fumes when you’re burning firewood
